King Felipe VI of Spain was born on January 30th, 1968 in Madrid. He is the third child of King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain. He studied law at the Autonomous University of Madrid and also completed a master's degree in international relations at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. During his time as Prince of Asturias, he was involved in various diplomatic missions and represented Spain internationally. He was also involved in various charitable causes and established the Prince of Asturias Foundation, which recognizes achievements in science, literature, and other areas. Felipe became king of Spain on June 19th, 2014, following the abdication of his father. As king, he has worked to promote economic growth and social development in Spain, as well as strengthening international ties and promoting Spanish culture and language. He is married to Queen Letizia, and together they have two daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.
