George V of the United Kingdom was born on June 3, 1865, in London, England. He was the second child of the future King Edward VII and Alexandra of Denmark. George became the Duke of York in 1892 and later succeeded his father to become the King of the United Kingdom in 1910. George V served as the monarch during World War I and played a crucial role in promoting unity and morale among the British people during the war. He also played a significant role in the formation of the British Commonwealth of Nations, which included countries such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. George V was known for his strong sense of duty and his commitment to public service. He died on January 20, 1936, in Sandringham, England, and was succeeded by his eldest son, Edward VIII.
