Paul Bern

Paul Bern (born Paul Levy) was a successful Hollywood producer and writer during the 1920s and 1930s. He was also the second husband of actress Jean Harlow. Bern's early years are not well documented as he lied about his background and name. He moved to Hollywood in 1925 and worked for MGM as a writer and director. In 1927, Bern met Jean Harlow when she auditioned for a part in one of his films. The two began a romantic relationship and married in 1932. Bern's career continued to flourish, and he was responsible for producing several successful films. However, on September 5, 1932, just two months after his marriage to Harlow, Bern was found dead in his home. His death was ruled a suicide, but there have been many theories and rumors about the circumstances surrounding his death. Some speculate that it was a murder, possibly committed by Harlow's ex-husband or a jealous lover. Regardless of the cause of his death, Paul Bern's legacy in Hollywood remains significant. He was a talented filmmaker and contributed to several acclaimed movies during his career.
