Prince Christopher of Greece and Denmark
Prince Christopher of Greece and Denmark was born on August 10, 1888, in Pavlovsk, Russia. He was the youngest son of King George I of Greece and Queen Olga of Russia. Growing up, he lived in Russia, Greece, and Denmark. Prince Christopher pursued a military career and served in the Balkan Wars and World War I. He was also a talented artist and designed the flag of Greece. In 1920, Prince Christopher married Princess Anastasia of Greece and Denmark, his first cousin. They had three children together. During World War II, Prince Christopher strongly opposed the Nazi occupation of Greece and was imprisoned for his beliefs. He was eventually released and went into exile with his family in Africa. After the war, the family returned to Greece, where Prince Christopher lived out the rest of his life. He passed away on January 21, 1940, at the age of 51.
