Prince George Alexandrovich Yurievsky

Prince George Alexandrovich Yurievsky was born on May 23rd, 1872 in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was the son of Tsar Alexander II of Russia and his mistress, Princess Catherine Dolgorukova. After his father’s assassination in 1881, Prince George and his mother were exiled to the Crimea. He later moved to Paris, where he became a well-known society figure and a friend of many prominent artists and writers. In 1900, Prince George married Countess Alexandra von Zarnekau, with whom he had two children. The couple eventually separated, and Prince George went on to have relationships with many other women, including the actress Virginia Rappe. During World War I, Prince George served as a volunteer in the French army. He later returned to Russia after the downfall of the Tsarist regime, only to flee again after the Bolshevik Revolution. Prince George spent the rest of his life in France, living a luxurious and glamorous lifestyle. He died on March 9th, 1919 in Cannes, France at the age of 46.
