Princess Alexia of Greece and Denmark, born on July 10, 1965, is the eldest daughter and second child of King Constantine II of Greece and Queen Anne-Marie of Denmark. She grew up in both Greece and Denmark, spending her early years in Greece and attending school in England, Switzerland, and the United States.
She studied at Washington DC's Georgetown University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in international relations in 1988. After graduation, she worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Switzerland and later for the Athens-based NGO, Centre for Social Innovation.
In 1999, Alexia married Carlos Morales Quintana, a Spanish architect, and they have four children together. They live in Lanzarote, Spain, where they run a sustainable tourism business.
Despite being a member of the Greek royal family, Alexia rarely carries out royal duties, as Greece is a republic and her father and grandfather were both deposed as kings. However, she remains involved in social and cultural causes, and is a member of the board of the Anna Maria Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of individuals and communities in Greece.
