Princess Anna of Ysenburg and Büdingen

Princess Anna of Ysenburg and Büdingen was a member of the German nobility who was born on September 10, 1917. She was the daughter of Prince Paul of Ysenburg and Büdingen and his wife, Princess Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont. She grew up in a wealthy and privileged environment, surrounded by her family's estates and castles. During World War II, Princess Anna's family lost much of their wealth and property, and Princess Anna and her siblings were forced to flee. They eventually settled in Hesse, where Princess Anna worked as a nurse and helped care for wounded soldiers. After the war, Princess Anna married Prince Moritz of Hesse-Kassel, a member of the German nobility. The couple had four children together. Princess Anna devoted much of her life to charitable work, particularly in the areas of health care and education. She also played an active role in the preservation of her family's castles and estates. Princess Anna died on January 18, 1998, at the age of 80. She was remembered for her generosity and dedication to improving the lives of others.
