Princess Caroline of Monaco

Princess Caroline of Monaco was born on January 23, 1957, in Monaco to the late Prince Rainier III and the late Grace Kelly. She has two younger siblings, Prince Albert II and Princess Stéphanie. Caroline attended schools in France, Switzerland, and England before earning a degree in philosophy from Sorbonne University in Paris. In 1978, she married French businessman Philippe Junot, but they divorced two years later. In 1983, she wed Italian businessman Stefano Casiraghi, with whom she had three children. Casiraghi died in a speedboat accident in 1990, and Caroline later married Prince Ernst August of Hanover in 1999. They divorced in 2019. Caroline has held various official roles in Monaco, including president of the Monegasque Red Cross and patron of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also an avid equestrian and has participated in numerous show jumping events. Caroline's eldest son, Andrea Casiraghi, is second in line to the Monegasque throne after his uncle, Prince Albert. Her other two children, Charlotte and Pierre Casiraghi, are also prominent figures in Monegasque society.
