Princess Fawzia Fuad of Egypt
Princess Fawzia Fuad of Egypt was born on November 5, 1921, in Cairo, Egypt. She was the eldest daughter of King Fuad I and Queen Nazli. In 1939, she married Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who later became the Shah of Iran. As the Shah's first wife, Princess Fawzia became the Queen of Iran in 1941, but their marriage did not last, and they divorced in 1948. After the divorce, the Princess returned to Egypt and remarried to an Egyptian politician, Ismail Chirine. Princess Fawzia was known for her charity work, especially for children's welfare. She was also an accomplished artist and sculptor. She passed away on July 2, 2013, in Alexandria, Egypt, at the age of 91.
