Princess Teresa of Lippe-Weissenfeld was born on July 4, 1917 in Weissenfeld, Germany. She was the daughter of Prince Ernst of Lippe-Weissenfeld and his wife, Princess Karoline Mathilde of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. Teresa grew up in a family with royal connections and lived a privileged life. During World War II, Teresa was actively involved in the Red Cross and worked as a nurse in military hospitals. She met her husband, Prince Konrad von Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst, during the war, and they were married in 1943. The couple had four children together. In 1945, after the end of the war, Princess Teresa and her family were forced to flee their home in Weissenfeld due to the advancing Soviet army. They settled in Austria, where they remained until 1950, when they emigrated to Argentina. In Argentina, Princess Teresa and her husband became involved in politics and were supporters of the Peronist movement. They were also active in charitable causes and established several organizations to help the less fortunate. Teresa and Konrad were both known for their love of skiing, and Konrad represented Argentina in the Winter Olympics in 1948 and 1952. They also owned a ski resort in Argentina. Princess Teresa died on April 16, 2005 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was 87 years old.
