Roy Thorsen

Roy Thorsen was a Norwegian resistance fighter during World War II. He was born in 1915 in Norway, and began his resistance activities after the German occupation of Norway in 1940. Thorsen was instrumental in helping to establish the Milorg resistance organization, and he served as the leader of its Oslo branch. He also helped to set up a secret radio network that was used to communicate with the British intelligence agency, MI6. Thorsen's activities brought him to the attention of the Gestapo, and he was arrested and tortured several times during the war. Despite this, he continued to work for the resistance, and was eventually sent to prison in Germany. Thorsen was released after the war, and he worked as a journalist and writer in Norway for the rest of his life. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 76.
