Sir Geoffrey Cory-Wright, 3rd Baronet

Sir Geoffrey Cory-Wright, 3rd Baronet, was born on September 23, 1933. He was the third and youngest son of Sir Henry Chetwynd Cory-Wright, 2nd Baronet, and Lady Angela Florence Hely-Hutchinson. He received his education at Eton College before joining the Grenadier Guards. After leaving the army, Sir Geoffrey had a successful career in finance and banking, including serving as a director of the London Stock Exchange and as chairman of the Investment Dealers' Association. He was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex in 1984 and was awarded the Knight Commander of the Order of St. John in 1992. Sir Geoffrey inherited the baronetcy from his brother, Sir John Cory-Wright, 4th Baronet, in 2013. He was a keen sportsman and enjoyed hunting, shooting, and fishing. Sir Geoffrey died on January 11, 2021, at the age of 87. He was survived by his wife, Rosemary, and his three children.
