Princess Elisabeth of Stolberg-Rossla
Princess Elisabeth of Stolberg-Rossla was born in Germany in 1870. She was the daughter of Prince Botho of Stolberg-Rossla and his wife, Countess Anna von Haugwitz. Elisabeth married Prince Leopold of Bavaria in 1891 and had six children. She was known for her charitable and cultural work, supporting the arts and sponsoring concerts and exhibitions. She also founded a hospital and a home for the elderly in Munich. During World War I, she worked as a nurse and received the Iron Cross for her service. She died in 1933 at the age of 62.
